Job Description

Overview

Solstice Consulting Group is looking for a Midstream Lead Field Service Specialist with strong expertise in the oil and gas sector, specifically for field service tasks in dehydration and gas processing systems. The position requires a considerable amount of travel within the Utica/Marcellus shale region and involves hands-on work, problem-solving, and direct client interaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain midstream systems including dehydration and gas filtration.
  • Work with customers to sell parts and perform troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, automation, and mechanical issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections and calibrations.
  • Ensure proper function of automation systems and instrumentation.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Document service activities and maintenance records accurately.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate job progress to clients.
  • Support engineering and operations teams with field feedback.

Required skills

  • 7+ years of field service or industrial maintenance experience
  • Technical diploma or equivalent work experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation disciplines
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, and instrumentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage control systems
  • Familiarity with SCADA or remote monitoring systems
  • Safety certifications (OSHA, H2S, First Aid, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills
