Overview

Orion Placement is seeking a Midlevel Real Estate Associate for their Washington, DC office. The role involves working on complex cross-border real estate transactions within various sectors such as industrial and technology, providing mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and real estate development documentation
  • Advise on title and survey review, resolving complex title issues
  • Represent lenders in real estate finance transactions, structuring secured lending facilities
  • Prepare and negotiate joint venture agreements, leasing documents, and community instruments
  • Collaborate on multi-jurisdictional deals involving foreign inbound clients
  • Manage competing deadlines across an active deal flow
  • Engage directly with clients and build relationships under guidance of partners

Required skills

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership (DC preferred)
  • 3+ years of real estate transactional and development experience
  • Experience with purchase and sale agreements, title review, and lender-side representation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment
