Overview

Mueller Christensen LLP is seeking a Mid-Senior Litigation Associate with over 5 years of experience in civil or probate litigation. The ideal candidate will handle various litigation tasks independently while collaborating with partners and mentoring junior attorneys.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead written discovery across active civil and probate matters
  • Take and defend depositions independently
  • Draft, argue, and defend motions, including dispositive work
  • Appear in court prepared to advocate without a safety net
  • Manage cases from initial pleadings through resolution or trial
  • Set and manage client expectations
  • Supervise and develop junior attorneys on active matters

Required skills

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • 5+ years of civil or probate litigation experience
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience managing cases and deadlines independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills
