The Melt Supervisor at Ashland Foundry & Machine Works LLC is responsible for overseeing the safe melting and pouring of metal to meet production and quality standards. This role involves managing furnace operations, metal chemistry, and ensuring compliance with safety and metallurgical standards while collaborating with various departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage melting and pouring of metal to meet production schedules
  • Oversee furnace operation and charge preparation
  • Control metal chemistry and temperature
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and alloy specifications
  • Document heat information and pouring practices
  • Coordinate with quality, engineering, maintenance, and casting operations

Required skills
