Overview

CF Industries is seeking a Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) for their Yazoo City, Mississippi location. This role plays a vital part in advancing a culture of EHS excellence, working to ensure the safety and health of employees, contractors, and the local community, while also managing compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a strategic vision for EHS performance and cultural excellence
  • Analyze EHS data and develop long-range actions to achieve EHS goals
  • Ensure alignment of the EHS vision with employee commitment
  • Develop efficient processes for collecting EHS metrics
  • Provide oversight for all facility EHS programs and pursue continuous improvement
  • Establish systems for compliance with regulations and company standards
  • Communicate EHS messages and cultivate feedback channels
  • Assess and prioritize EHS risks and manage mitigation processes
  • Set key performance metrics for EHS areas
  • Participate in committees representing facility interests
  • Oversee training programs for EHS requirements
  • Prepare and manage the annual department budget
  • Demonstrate leadership visibility and reinforce EHS as a core value
  • Foster a continuous learning culture from EHS incidents and near misses

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Health, Environmental, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environment and safety, preferably in chemical industry
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to interact effectively with regulatory authorities
