Overview

As the Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) at CF Industries in Yazoo City, you will be a key player in the Site Leadership Team, responsible for fostering a culture of EHS excellence. You will execute strategies, manage EHS systems, and lead a team to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, contributing to the company’s mission of providing sustainable clean energy.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a strategic vision for EHS performance and cultural excellence
  • Analyze EHS data and develop long-range initiatives
  • Ensure alignment and engagement of all employees with the EHS vision
  • Measure EHS performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide oversight for all facility EHS programs and processes
  • Establish and verify compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Develop and implement effective communication channels regarding EHS
  • Assess and prioritize EHS risks and manage mitigation strategies
  • Oversee training programs to ensure personnel are knowledgeable about EHS requirements
  • Administer the annual department budget

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health and Environmental or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental and safety field
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
