Overview

CF Industries is seeking a Manager for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) in Yazoo City, Mississippi, who will play a key role in the Site Leadership Team. The position involves advancing a culture of EHS excellence, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing a team to promote workplace safety and health while contributing to the company's mission of sustainable clean energy.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a strategic vision for EHS performance and cultivate excellence
  • Analyze EHS data to develop long-range actions for improvement
  • Foster employee commitment and engagement in EHS initiatives
  • Oversee facility environmental, health, and safety programs
  • Establish effective communication channels for EHS messaging
  • Assess and prioritize EHS risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Participate in industry and community committees on EHS matters
  • Administer the annual department budget
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and local regulations
  • Direct a team of EHS professionals and provide training

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental and safety management
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance
