Oceanography Officers, also known as METOC, serve as the U.S. Navy's experts in meteorology and oceanography. Their primary mission is to provide crucial environmental data to support operations, ensuring naval freedom of action and safety at sea. This role involves a range of challenging operational assignments both at sea and on land, requiring a strong technical background.

Key responsibilities
