Job Description

Overview

The Merchant Relationship Manager at Fresno First Bank is responsible for selling merchant services products to prospective and existing customers. This role includes lead generation, building strong client relationships, and providing support and service to merchant services clients, all while collaborating with bank personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and meetings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive long-term business
  • Utilize CRM systems to track interactions and manage pipeline activity
  • Prepare proposals and perform sales presentations and product training
  • Provide customer support for merchant services clients, including technical assistance
  • Monitor portfolio reports to identify revenue opportunities
  • Act as a liaison to branch staff for qualifying merchant services prospects
  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently, including compliance training
  • Travel up to 75% for client locations, sales presentations, and training events

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking or merchant services sales
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and federal compliance regulations
  • Experience with CRM systems and Payment Gateways
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
