Overview

The Retail Merchandise/Warehouse Handler at Ashley - The Wellsville Group in North Olmsted, Ohio is responsible for routine tasks related to receiving, assembling, and maintaining products in the retail showroom. The role includes housekeeping, product inspection, and assisting customers with their pickups and drop-offs.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing the showroom
  • Receive and unload incoming products, inspecting for damages and confirming order accuracy
  • Assemble and prepare products for customer deliveries and showroom displays
  • Assist customers with product pickups and drop offs, including loading and unloading
  • Work closely with visual merchandising specialists on floor moves and special projects

Required skills

  • General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods
  • Attention to detail and solid time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, or pull up to 75lbs
  • Mechanical inclination and experience with furniture assembly using hand tools
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in warehouse receiving or retail back room preferred
