Overview

Trusted Medical is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their team at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Butte, Montana. This role involves conducting medical evaluations for individuals entering military service, ensuring they meet the required health and fitness standards as per Department of Defense guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive medical examinations and evaluate applicants' fitness for military service.
  • Review medical histories and lab results to render professional medical opinions.
  • Document findings accurately within established timelines using the MHS Genesis health record system.
  • Identify and communicate any medical conditions impacting military eligibility.
  • Collaborate with MEPS staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with installation policies, procedures, and DoD regulations.

Required skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Board Certified and Board Eligible
  • Current medical license in the state of practice
  • Board certification in primary care specialty
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate clinical experience within the last 3 years
  • Current BLS certification
  • Familiarity with DoD medical standards and protocols
  • Proficiency in MHS Genesis electronic health records system
  • Strong communication, documentation, and decision-making skills
