Overview

Monte Nido & Affiliates, LLC is seeking a Mental Health Technician, specifically a Recovery Coach, to join its residential treatment program in West Nyack, NY. This role focuses on supporting adolescents struggling with eating disorders on their journey to recovery by providing empathy, education, and guidance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support clients through their recovery journey as a key player in their treatment.
  • Engage clients in developing healthy connections with peers and the treatment team.
  • Assist in food preparation and supervise client meals and snacks.
  • Facilitate participation in therapeutic groups to promote clinical growth.
  • Conduct rounds and provide observations of client behavior.
  • Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.

Required skills

  • At least 2 years post-high school education; Bachelor's in Psychology preferred.
  • One year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting.
  • Valid state-issued Driver's License with safe driving history.
  • Strong communication and client relations skills.
  • Flexibility and teamwork orientation.
