Overview

Valor Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for their outpatient clinic in Danville, Virginia. The role involves providing medical treatment and personal care services to veterans, collaborating with a team to develop patient care plans, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess social and emotional capabilities of individual members.
  • Provide case management to Veterans and families throughout the continuum of care.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy, including PTSD and coping skills groups.
  • Involve members in planning and responsibilities for activities.
  • Refer members to community resources as needed.
  • Provide patient and family health education focusing on self-management and prevention.
  • Maintain confidentiality of veterans' data.
  • Participate in outreach events to support clinic enrollment initiatives.

Required skills

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid, unrestricted LCSW/MSW license
  • 1-3 years of post-master direct counseling experience with adults
  • Proven mastery of psychological and mental health interventions
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor
