Job Description

Overview

The Member Service Representative (MSR) at GreenState Credit Union is responsible for providing professional and responsive member service during daily transactions and inquiries. This role serves as the front line for member interactions, aiming to enhance member relationships and ensure confidentiality while performing a variety of banking transactions and service calls.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional member service and greet members upon arrival
  • Handle member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
  • Educate members on Credit Union products and services
  • Assist with member account discrepancies and complaints
  • Make weekly outbound service calls to members
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information
  • Participate in community service events and Credit Union sponsored activities
  • Ensure accurate handling of cash and adherence to service quality standards

Required skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of deposit products and financial regulations
  • Accuracy in cash handling and transaction recording
  • Proficiency in computer applications including spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in customer service and cash handling desired
