Overview

UF Health is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead for their Freestanding Emergency Department in Gainesville, Florida. This role involves overseeing laboratory operations and ensuring quality assurance in a high-ranking healthcare environment committed to excellence in patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee technical operations in the clinical lab section.
  • Provide technical support for laboratory operations and problem resolution.
  • Supervise preparation of specimens for analysis.
  • Perform analytical procedures as needed.
  • Responsible for quality assurance functions, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assume operational responsibility in the absence of the manager.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent
  • Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Florida
  • One year experience in a NAACLS approved program or as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory
  • Five years experience as a Medical Technologist preferred
