Overview

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Medical Technologist II MT specializing in Chemistry to perform clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves both manual and automated testing methods, and requires accurate reporting of patient results while collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform STAT and routine laboratory testing on biological specimens
  • Report valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner
  • Interact with physicians, nurses, and allied health individuals to coordinate testing
  • Participate in operational support activities to maintain testing capabilities

Required skills

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
  • Completion of a clinical laboratory training program
  • One year of preferred experience in a relevant area
  • Knowledge of testing methods and instrumentation in assigned areas
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with others
  • Ability to work under time constraints and multi-task
  • State of Florida Clinical Technologist license in relevant areas
  • Preferred certification as Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory
