Overview

The Medical Technologist II-2 position at MUSC involves performing diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist in disease diagnosis and monitoring. The role includes specimen preparation, testing, quality control, and communication of results to both medical professionals and laypersons.

  • Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples
  • Prepare specimens for testing

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant scientific discipline

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent
