Overview

Join UNC Health Nash, a part of the UNC Health system, as a Medical Technologist in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests and ensuring the highest quality in patient care. As part of a committed team, you will contribute to community health and wellness through exceptional laboratory services.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across various sections of the Clinical Laboratory
  • Coordinate quality control and equipment maintenance
  • Investigate issues with equipment and test results
  • Teach Clinical Laboratory Science students and train new employees
  • Prepare specimens and reagents as required
  • Report and consult on test results with healthcare providers
  • Ensure accuracy in test result reporting and correct errors in a timely manner

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related science
  • Registry or eligibility as a Medical Technologist via ASCP or NCA
  • Experience in laboratory testing and quality control
  • Ability to train and teach others
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis
