Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role at Jazz Pharmaceuticals focuses on establishing and enhancing professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers in the epilepsy therapeutic area. This field-based position covers Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi, requiring a scientific background to provide medical information and support the Medical Affairs department.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers in the epilepsy therapeutic area.
  • Execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Participate in medical education through presentations and meetings.
  • Provide clinical presentations and information in response to inquiries.
  • Contribute to the development of the US Medical Plan.
  • Engage in scientific exchange and document adverse events as per company policies.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and company values.

Required skills

  • MS or advanced degree in scientific or medical discipline with 5 years of experience in Epilepsy or relevant field.
  • Experience as a Medical Science Liaison, preferably in Epilepsy.
  • Experience in Neurology is required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in building relationships and networking.
  • Ability to travel 60-80% of work days.

  • Base pay range of $154,400.00 - $231,600.00.
