Join a team that is dedicated to caring for our community-and each other.Position Summary:Receptionist duties include answering telephones, routing and screening calls, greeting visitors, responding to medical records requests, inquiries from the public, and providing information about the organization. In addition, they contribute to the security of an organization by helping to monitor the access of visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Over sees the front desk and has knowledge of operating a multi-line telephone system, fax, copier, and other types of general office equipment.Understands the company infrastructure and must have ability to transfer calls, resolve issues timely Responsible for maintenance of active and inactive medical records, includes filing and scanning of patient documents, overall file maintenance, and electronic file auditsReviews Patient forms and documents to ensure compliance and maintains confidentiality of files at all times Coordinates set up and discharge notifications for Personal Emergency Response SystemsParticipates in QAPI assignments; completes audits of inactive and active patient files on monthly/quarterly basisReviews Start of Care and Discharge documents for compliance Assists with coordination of patient care, faxes daily transfers and discharge summaries to facilities and other health care providersMaintains all office equipment including copiers, faxes, phone systems, postage meter, and media center equipmentAssists with ordering and stocking medical suppliesGreets all visitors, customers, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Announces and directs visitors maintaining coPrepares and distributes reports; maintains employee communication board (in and out board)Prepares and distributes business correspondence, memos, schedules, and other documentsCollects and distributes incoming mail to the appropriate individual/departments Promptly distributes incoming faxes to the appropriate personnel, including lab results, physician orders, referrals, applications, etc.Maintains a professional image and an understanding of the company's scope of servicesPromotes a customer friendly atmosphere for all co-workers and internal/external customers Participates in surveys and CHAP accreditation programPerforms other duties as assignedEducation/Experience:High School Graduate (or equivalent)Knowledgeable in general office practices and procedures Ability to function with frequent interruptions and handle more than one project at a time Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is requiredKnowledge of Health Care office functions a plusAbility to organize workflow in an efficient manner with accurate results Excellent customer service skillsWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:Office Environment May be exposed to biological hazards A list of Physical Demands for this position is attached PI73ca5f0e5-
