Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Medical Physicist to join their expanding Physics team within the Radiation Oncology department. The role primarily involves providing clinical physics support at various care sites in Columbus, OH, and includes both in-person and hybrid work opportunities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a team of physicists, dosimetrists, and medical practitioners to develop and implement treatment techniques while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical physics support, including routine quality assurance activities and treatment delivery techniques
  • Support and ensure adherence to policies and procedures in a clinical trial environment
  • Develop and implement new treatment techniques and technologies
  • Conduct equipment acceptance testing and commissioning for radiation therapy and simulation equipment
  • Manage a comprehensive Quality Management Program for radiation oncology processes
  • Provide training in radiation oncology physics and dosimetry
  • Ensure accurate radiation dose delivery and compliance with safety regulations

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Medical or Radiation Physics
  • ABR board certified or board eligible
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Linear Accelerators and various radiation oncology technologies
  • Familiarity with EMR/TPS systems, such as Aria and Eclipse
  • Ability to work well in a large team environment
