Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP is seeking a dynamic Associate Attorney for their Medical Malpractice team in Stamford, Connecticut. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to work alongside accomplished legal professionals in a collaborative environment, handling sophisticated medical malpractice and healthcare provider litigation cases.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload focused on medical malpractice claims
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members on strategic legal projects
  • Attend court appearances, depositions, motion hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Maintain communication with clients, providing case updates and managing expectations
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings and settlement agreements
  • Contribute to case strategies and support senior team members in trial preparations

Required skills

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice in NY
  • Minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or healthcare defense
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
