Overview

The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician at CoxHealth plays a critical role in performing tests on blood and body fluids to assess health and disease. This position requires troubleshooting instrumentation and supports the development and training of less experienced staff while utilizing critical thinking to ensure the accuracy of results.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform tests on blood and body fluids.
  • Monitor response to treatment and aid in health maintenance.
  • Serve as a technical resource and assist in training staff.

Required skills

  • Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Lab Technician
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, especially Excel
  • Ability to lead and manage project teams
