Overview: Medical Laboratory Scientists in the Histocompatibility Laboratory perform highcomplexity testing that supports solid organ transplantation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform and interpret specialized laboratory testing, including molecular HLA typing, antibody testing, and flow cytometry. The HLA laboratory plays a critical role in transplant candidate evaluation, donor compatibility assessment, and organ allocation decisions. Responsibilities: Performs high complexity histocompatibility testing and related functions including molecular typing, antibody monitoring, and flow cytometry that regularly require a professional level of knowledge to execute, interpret, and/or analyze. Participates in on-call rotation.
