Job Description

Overview

Westlake Emergency Center is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist for their Free Standing Emergency Department. The MLS will perform laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment, manage on-site testing, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in an emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens
  • Document and communicate test results accurately
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and assist patients and visitors
  • Support patient flow and complete clerical tasks
  • Maintain safety and security awareness in the facility
