Overview

The Medical Lab Scientist ASCP at Research Medical Center plays a crucial role in performing routine and complex laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. This position involves a commitment to accuracy and quality in various laboratory disciplines, contributing to the hospital's goal of delivering exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
  • Produce accurate results in various laboratory sections such as hematology, serology, blood bank, and microbiology.
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls and calibrating equipment.
  • Verify equipment function through routine maintenance and monitor quality control measures.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related science required.
  • Registry/certification in medical technology (MT/MLS) or equivalent required.
  • Experience in laboratory procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control protocols.
