Job Description

Overview

The Medical Lab Scientist at Research Medical Center will conduct routine and complex laboratory tests across various disciplines including toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is essential in maintaining quality results and ensuring accurate laboratory operations as part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform chemical, hematology, serological, immunohematology, and microscopic procedures in laboratory sections
  • Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other areas
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls and calibrating equipment
  • Verify equipment function through routine maintenance and monitor quality control measures and protocols

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related science
  • Medical technologist certification (MT, CLS, MLS or equivalent) required or eligible
  • Experience in laboratory testing across various disciplines preferred
