Overview

The Medical Gas Project & Estimating Specialist at Medical Technology Associates is a crucial position that combines estimating and project coordination for medical gas services. The role is part of a collaborative support team, focusing on accurate project quotes and customer service in an organization dedicated to excellence in healthcare compliance testing.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales Representative and Medical Gas Account Manager as part of a three-person support team.
  • Coordinate task distribution for quotes, takeoffs, submittals, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes and perform detailed takeoffs.
  • Read and interpret plumbing and medical gas blueprints and specifications.
  • Manage orders from quote approval through material delivery.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to quotes and orders.
  • Maintain organized project files, documentation, and schedules.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively.

Required skills

  • 5 years' experience with plumbing estimating and project management
  • Strong understanding of plumbing or medical gas construction estimating processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered plans and specifications
  • Medical gas field experience preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA 99 preferred
  • Strong mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
