Overview

Medical Technology Associates (MTA) is seeking a Medical Gas Project & Estimating Specialist to join their growing team in Pinellas Park, Florida. This dual-function role combines responsibilities in Medical Gas Estimating and Project Coordination, supporting mechanical contractors, hospitals, and medical facilities with project quotes and coordination for medical gas testing and construction.

Key responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a three-person support team.
  • Coordinate task distribution for quotes, takeoffs, and customer requests.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and detailed takeoffs.
  • Read and interpret plumbing and medical gas blueprints.
  • Manage orders from quote approval through material delivery.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot order inconsistencies and backorders.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Required skills

  • 5+ years' experience in plumbing estimating and project management
  • Strong understanding of plumbing and medical gas estimating processes
  • Ability to read engineered plans and specifications
  • Medical gas field experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of NFPA 99 (preferred)
  • Strong mathematical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; NetSuite experience (preferred)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong customer service skills
