Job Description

Overview

As a Medical Equipment Technician at AdaptHealth, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' transitions from hospital to home by delivering, setting up, and maintaining respiratory and home medical equipment. Your work will directly impact patient comfort and independence, as you educate patients and caregivers on equipment use while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care
  • Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies
  • Maintain home oxygen systems and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs
  • Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely
  • Promote company services to referral sources
  • Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance training

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Field-based and delivery experience
  • One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license
