Overview

Palmetto School of Career Development is seeking a part-time Medical Administrative Assisting instructor to teach an 8-week course on Monday and Wednesday nights. The role involves delivering lecture material, administering quizzes, and ensuring students acquire the necessary skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • Prepare and deliver lectures and lab demonstrations
  • Utilize various teaching styles to accommodate different learning styles
  • Facilitate class discussions and motivate learning
  • Assess student skills and understanding
  • Administer tests to evaluate student achievement
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate concerns
  • Participate in orientations and meetings as requested
  • Assist in curriculum development and review

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant
  • Proficiency in operating in a computer-assisted environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
