Role Description The Medicaid Caseworker is a full-time, on-site role based in Plano, TX. This position is responsible for assisting individuals and families with Medicaid applications, renewals, and case updates, ensuring eligibility requirements are clearly explained and met. Daily tasks include conducting interviews, gathering and verifying documentation, maintaining accurate case records, and following up with clients and agencies to resolve issues. The role involves coordinating services, explaining program benefits and procedures, and advocating for clients within established guidelines and regulations. The caseworker collaborates with internal team members and external partners to provide timely support while adhering to state policies and confidentiality standards. QualificationsStrong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to work effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders. Knowledge of social work principles or human services practices, with a commitment to client advocacy and support. Experience working with Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities is required. Prior experience working for Texas Health and Human Services as an Eligibility Advisor II or higher is strongly preferred. Experience must invlude case management and casework, including organizing, tracking, and documenting client information. Ability to interpret and apply Medicaid or public assistance program rules, regulations, and eligibility criteria. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Proficiency with basic computer applications and case management systems. High school diploma or equivalent required. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and respectful, non-discriminatory service to all clients. Employment is onsite, must be within a reasonable commuting distance. No remote or offsite work.
