Job Description

Overview

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems within the facility. This position also involves mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Maintain positive working relationships within the Amazon Operations facility
  • Physically manage equipment including lifting up to 49lbs and performing various physical tasks

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems e
  • 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics
  • 2+ years demonstrating safety standards
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment
  • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
  • 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience preferred
