Job Description

Overview

The Mechanical Technician Level 1 at Micro Precision is responsible for calibrating various test instruments across several skill areas, such as electrical, industrial, and temperature equipment. The role involves collecting calibration data, recording information, and completing certifications while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Calibrate various test instruments in assigned skill areas
  • Perform standards maintenance and checks as directed by the Lab Manager
  • Collect and record calibration data on data sheets
  • Complete calibration certifications including addressing out of tolerance conditions
  • Communicate calibration issues and procedures to customers and coworkers
  • Adhere to safety precautions and quality standards

Required skills

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment
  • Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools
  • Strong mathematics understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid Driver's License
