Our critical infrastructure solutions serve a wide range of customers, including:Electric utilitiesTelecommunications network operatorsCable television and broadband service providersConstruction contractorsAgricultural businessesCorporate enterprises and private networksGovernment agenciesEducational institutionsJOB SUMMARY:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate mechanical tests as per test procedures in accordance with CSA, ASTM and internal standards.Prepare test specimens, fixtures and tooling's according to test procedures.Analyze, and interpret test data; prepare technical reports and summaries for engineering teams.Prepare and perform routine calibration of instruments and preventive maintenance programs.Support engineers in experimental design, prototype validation, and root-cause/failure investigations.Ensure laboratory compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations; Contribute safety audits and risk assessments; Contribute 5S activities.Working with Senior Mechanical Laboratory Technician, Coordinate laboratory scheduling, workload planning, and prioritization of testing activities.Contribute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.Manage the qualification samples and ensure their traceability.Support quality activities during overloaded period. QUALIFICATIONS Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in electromechanical technology, or in a related field.1-3 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical testing laboratory environment.Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test requirements.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Proficiency with laboratory software, such as MTS, spreadsheets.
