Position: Mechanical Engineer IV (Camera Prototyping Engineer ) Location: Sunnyvale, California Duration: 12+ Months Contract with Possible extension Job ID: 180041 Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer IV to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in camera prototyping and hardware integration, working on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic environment. This role involves prototyping integrated camera systems, supporting demo readiness, and managing internal hardware demos. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities: Develop hardware prototypes for integrated camera systems, including CAD design, electrical engineering, and optical components. Support the purchasing process for prototyping and demo efforts. Ensure demo readiness by performing device bring-up, dry-run demos, and loading all necessary calibration and software. Support internal product demos by ensuring devices are working optimally and participating in hardware demonstrations. Collaborate with data collection teams and manage procurement for internal camera system prototypes. Plan and manage prototype projects involving multiple team members. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with working with camera sensors streaming RAW data. Experience with mechanical, optical, and electrical prototyping, including assembling complex systems, soldering, basic electrical testing, and aligning optical components. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Experience working with cameras used for AI applications, such as AR/VR, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or computer vision applications. Expertise in prototyping skills, including CAD design, 3D printing, electrical design, programming embedded devices, and assembling consumer electronics.
