Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Mechanical Assembler II to join their team in Sparks, Nevada. This full-time position involves the assembly and installation of compressor units using mechanical components and tools, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble compressors and subassemblies based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Overhaul and repair compressors or components per customer needs.
  • Control manufacturing expenses and adhere to labor standards.
  • Package products as required prior to shipping.
  • Notify supervisor of supply and tool levels.
  • Ensure effective communication within the department.
  • Maintain plant facilities and equipment.
  • Participate in cross-training within the Production Department.
  • Set up and test-run completed machines.
  • Coordinate training of new employees on processes and standards.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills and adaptability to various software applications.
  • Ability to perform calculations such as percentages and ratios.
  • Understanding of air and gas compressors and basic manufacturing tooling.
  • Valid Driver's License.
