Overview

RIX Industries is seeking a Mechanical Assembler I for their manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada. This role involves the installation and assembly of compressor units using mechanical components while adhering to safety and quality standards. The assembler will work with blueprints and various tools to ensure operational efficiency and quality control.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble compressors and subassemblies according to customer specifications and blueprints.
  • Test assembled components to detect malfunctions.
  • Overhaul and repair compressors as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Control manufacturing expenses by efficiently using supplies and meeting labor standards.
  • Package products for shipping as required.
  • Communicate effectively within the department and with other company functions.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in cross-training within the Production Department.
  • Set up and test completed machines through fixed test cycles.

Required skills

  • Mechanical skills and experience in assembly or mechanics.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of air and gas compressors and basic manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and adaptability to various software.
  • Ability to perform calculations and communicate effectively.
  • Valid Driver's License.
