Job Description Job Description DSM Contracting is currently seeking a Lead SHOP Mechanic in Baltimore, Maryland to keep our construction vehicles, machinery and heavy equipment running strong. If you can diagnose issues, make repairs, and help lead shop operations - this role is for you. Pay based on experience + overtime opportunities What You'll Do:Lead troubleshooting, diagnose, repair and maintain dump trucks, heavy and light duty trucks, trailers, and heavy equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on fleet, heavy equipment, as well as heavy and light duty trucksTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesHelp prioritize and coordinate daily shop repairs; assist coordinating shop workflow repair activities to support efficiencyInspect all equipment vehicles regularly for complianceEnsure all repairs meet DOT and OEM standardsMaintain service records and documentationPerform and review "check in" and "check out" inspections for fleet equipment accuracy and completenessProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to mechanics and techniciansCommunicate equipment status with supervisors and field crewsRespond to and communicate with internal requests for service or repairsFollow all safety policies and proceduresPromote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient shop environmentOrder and track parts.
