Job Description

Overview

As a Mechanic at Loomis US, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing the fleet of company vehicles. You will work as part of a team to ensure the machinery is well-maintained and operates safely, adhering to company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all company vehicle types
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Document vehicle repair and inspection information using maintenance software
  • Perform inventory management and order parts as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Meet DOT standards for brake and annual inspection certifications

Required skills

  • 1 year experience or certificate from an approved training program
  • Knowledge of diesel equipment and related tools
  • Ability to identify component failures and diagnose vehicle systems
  • Proficiency in reading technical service manuals and repair orders
  • Valid driver's license (C or better)
  • Basic hand tools required
  • ASE or manufacturer certification is a plus
