Overview

Join a well-established and growing company recognized for its operations in civil engineering for nearly 50 years. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment, ensuring the reliability and performance needed for successful field operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the vehicle fleet and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Carry out necessary repairs safely and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance and reliability of vehicles used on job sites
  • Conduct mechanical inspections and follow-ups
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop
  • Collaborate with field teams to promptly address operational needs
  • Participate in continuous improvement of equipment and work methods

Required skills

  • DEP in automotive mechanics, heavy vehicles, or related field (asset)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical principles
  • Ability to effectively diagnose mechanical problems
  • Resourcefulness, autonomy, and initiative
  • Good priority management skills
  • Physical ability to work and team collaboration
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with construction vehicles or heavy equipment (asset)
  • ASP Construction card
  • Forklift license
  • Experience in welding or hydraulics (asset)
