Materials Coordinator Job Title: Materials CoordinatorHours: 7am - 330pm - OT as needed Job Summary:The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing procurement, inventory control, and receiving operations to support efficient business operations. This role ensures materials and supplies are available, properly tracked, and accurately documented while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting production needs. This role requires someone who can multitask and work in a stressful environment.Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Purchasing:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and servicesNegotiate pricing and terms to ensure cost-effective purchasingConduct cost analysis and monitor purchasing trendsVendor Management:Develop and maintain relationships with suppliersEvaluate vendor performance and address issues as neededOrder Management:Prepare, issue, and track purchase ordersMonitor shipping schedules and ensure timely delivery of materialsInventory Control:Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levelsConduct regular inventory audits and reconcile physical counts with system recordsMonitor inventory discrepancies and report issues such as shortages or potential lossReceiving & Inspection:Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing listsInspect materials for damage or quality issues and report discrepanciesProcess returns and maintains accurate receiving documentationReporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate records in inventory and purchasing systemsGenerate reports on inventory levels, purchasing activity, and trendsMaterial Handling:Operate forklifts or other equipment to move and store materials safelyOther Duties:Perform additional duties as assigned to support operationsRequired Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills:Proficiency in SAGE softwareStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelCore Competencies:High attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing, inventory control, receiving, or a related fieldPI7f8d032821b4-8914
