Overview

The Material Project Coordinator at RIX Industries is responsible for managing the flow of materials for production projects. This role involves coordinating with production planning to ensure efficient material handling, tracking the progress of work orders, and addressing any shortages in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with production supervisors and planners to monitor project progress
  • Ensure organization and accuracy of project materials and carts
  • Report and resolve material shortages related to projects and tasks
  • Utilize CSI for job, task, and inventory management
  • Attend weekly production and project review meetings
  • Oversee dedicated warehouses and maintain order in the job cart area
  • Assist in warehouse picking activities as needed
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory transactions
  • Coordinate training of new employees on processes and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of production and inventory control techniques
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and MRP principles
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate multiple software applications
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
