They are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other warehouse duties. This is a freezer warehouse environment with temperatures between zero and thirty-two degrees. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - MATERIAL HANDLER - DISTRIBUTION Unloading and loading trailers and verifying proper stacking and freightReporting shortages damages and misplacements to your immediate supervisorIdentifying and recovering any received or shipping damageEnsuring proper stock rotation by following lot number identificationPulling and preparing product for shipmentEnsuring that the exact number and type of product is located and shipped.Making certain product comes from the proper locations.Performing picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.Moving product from the staging or storage areas into railcars or trailersStacking and staging product and materialsShuttle product between buildings if needed (back-up)Maintaining the facilities, equipment, and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashionOperating all equipment in a safe and efficient mannerInventory receipt from vendors including documentation, quality review per JTM specs and quantity verification.Communication with internal and external customers per JTM Way SUCCESS CRITERIA - MATERIAL HANDLER - DISTRIBUTION Safety/GMP/Food Safety/Quality policies followed.BRC ComplianceReporting accuracy met.Customer requirements met. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - MATERIAL HANDLER - DISTRIBUTION Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service and problem solveSelf-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting.Able to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.High school degree or equivalent certificationMust be at least 18 years of age.Forklift training and experienceCapable of operating forklifts and their attachmentsGood math and reading skills.Capable of following verbal and written instructionsAvailability to work various shifts.Capable of standing and walking extended periods of timeMust pass written and driving forklift exam.Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.Capable of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environmentThis position is an onsite position.
