Description: The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting efficient production and inventory operations by ensuring materials, tools, and products are accurately received, stored, moved, and distributed throughout the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling material requests, supporting production schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. If you enjoy staying active, solving problems, and being an essential part of a high-performing team, we invite you to join us and make an impact every day.What You'll DoAs a key member of our supply chain team, you'll:Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives throughout stockrooms and production areas.Read and interpret production schedules, work orders, customer orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine material movement needs.Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. Including the use of the company van as needed.Organize and store materials in designated locations to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient retrieval.Pick, stage, and distribute materials, tools, and stock items to support production and shipping operations.Label, count, weigh, and verify materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records within company systems.Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management activities.Collaborate with teammates across departments to support operational success.Demonstrate Mate's core values of Respect, Support, and Inspire in all interactions.Why Mate? Requirements: RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Valid Minnesota Driver's License.Ability to obtain company forklift certification.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.Ability to solve routine problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and material handling.What You'll BringPrevious experience in a warehouse, stockroom, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or material handling environment preferred.Experience using ERP systems or inventory management software is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.A proactive approach to organization, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.A team-first mindset with a willingness to support others and contribute to a positive workplace culture.Why You'll Love Working at MateAt Mate, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
