Overview

Beyond Karate Los Angeles is seeking a Martial Arts Instructor Supervisor to oversee their team of karate instructors in Santa Monica, CA. The role involves leading adaptive karate training and martial arts fitness classes for students of all ages and abilities, promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Staff and class scheduling and training of instructors
  • Oversee lesson quality and execution
  • Lead adaptive Karate training classes for children, teens, and adults
  • Support students in developing focus, coordination, and confidence
  • Create a welcoming and positive class atmosphere
  • Model safety, encouragement, and teamwork
  • Assist with class setup, cleanup, and communication with staff
  • Participate in ongoing learning and mentorship

Required skills

  • Experience in karate
  • Training from Sensei Mallica
  • Experience working with youth programs or in fitness camps
  • Background in martial arts, dance, music, sports, or fitness movement
  • Ability to engage with students actively
  • Teachable and dependable
  • Strong communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
