Overview

Sumo Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specialized in Neurosurgery for locum shifts in Marshfield, Wisconsin, starting September 15th, 2025. The role involves a mix of clinical duties including surgical assistance, patient consultations, and independent rounding in various hospital units.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform surgical first assist duties
  • Conduct bedside procedures
  • Round independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU, and general med/surg floor
  • Provide hospital and ER/UC consultations
  • Manage outpatient consultations and post-operative care
  • Handle patient phone calls and medication refills
  • Complete FMLA documentation

Required skills

  • Board Certified
  • 2 years of recent neurosurgery experience
  • Wisconsin License
  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • DEA certification
  • Clean background with no malpractice history
