Overview

AT Marine Electric is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join their team in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The role involves working with electrical systems in tugs and barges, focusing on safety, quality workmanship, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using various tools
  • Assemble and install electrical devices according to specifications
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their electrical needs
  • Perform maintenance for Tug and Barge service
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and technicians
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols

Required skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience working as an Electrician or in a similar role
  • Marine electrical knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions
  • Valid TWIC card or ability to apply for one
