Overview

RIX Industries is looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer in Benicia, CA. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting manufacturing test systems to ensure safe and efficient operations in various critical applications, including aerospace and marine technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and maintain manufacturing test stands and production test systems.
  • Develop and support test software and automation applications, primarily using LabVIEW.
  • Troubleshoot test system issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead validation and integration of new or modified test systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
  • Maintain technical documentation and work instructions.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support across various departments.
  • Develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing automation or production test environments.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and LabVIEW applications.
  • Ability to design and troubleshoot electrical control panels (up to 480 VAC).
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in sensors, instrumentation, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP over Ethernet).
  • Ability to travel 15-20% of the time.
