Job Description

Overview

As a Manufacturing Supervisor at Clarios, you will lead daily production operations in a union manufacturing environment. This role focuses on achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while developing and managing a team of hourly employees and ensuring compliance with labor relations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead daily production execution to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Plan labor, assign work, and manage staffing levels according to production requirements.
  • Train, coach, and develop hourly employees to perform work in compliance with standard practices.
  • Maintain effective employee relations through leadership and consistent policy application.
  • Administer attendance, discipline, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health, environmental, and safety policies.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators; take corrective action as needed.
  • Investigate production variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Reinforce standard work and drive continuous improvement through team engagement.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Control labor and material usage to meet standard cost objectives.
  • Prepare operational, labor, and performance reports.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a union manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and disciplinary processes
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and required overtime
